Who writes the content

CalculatorZone content is written and reviewed by the CalculatorZone editorial team — researchers who specialise in UK personal finance, tax, mortgages, and investments. We do not accept guest posts, paid placements, or sponsored corrections. Named reviewers and bylines are added where individual expertise backs a specific guide.

How calculators are built

• All UK tax calculators pull rates and thresholds from HMRC's published tables (gov.uk).
• Mortgage and loan calculators use the standard amortisation formula; assumptions are stated on each calc page.
• Health calculators use published definitions from the NHS, WHO, or equivalent national health bodies.
• We cite the upstream source and the publication period on every calculator that depends on public rates.

Review cadence

Each calculator and guide has a stated “Last reviewed” date reflecting the last time we verified the figures. Review windows:

• Tax-year flips (6 April) — full refresh of all UK tax and salary calculators.
• Autumn Budget (November) — targeted updates to calcs affected by rate changes.
• Bank of England rate decisions — mortgage and loan calculator assumptions refreshed.
• Ad-hoc — any calculator may be updated sooner if legislation, regulation or published rates change.

Corrections policy

If you spot an error, a stale rate, or a bug in a calculation, please email [email protected]. We aim to acknowledge reports within 2 working days and correct verified errors within 5 working days. Material corrections are noted in-line on the affected page.

CalculatorZone is an information service. We publish calculators and guides for educational and planning purposes. CalculatorZone displays third-party advertising via Google AdSense. Ads are clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial content. If we recommend a specific product or service and receive a commission if you click through, we mark that link as rel="sponsored"and show a visible “Sponsored” label on the affected card.

Our editorial content, calculator results, guide rankings, and review dates are never influenced by advertisers or affiliate partners. We do not accept paid content, sponsored calculator placements, or paid corrections.
