This calculator uses Water UK’s published 2026/27 average household bills for water-and-wastewater companies in England and Wales, effective from 1 April 2026. The national average is £639, a rise of £33 (5.4%) on the previous year. Selecting a company shows that company’s average; if you enter your 2025/26 annual bill, the same published increase is applied to your figure. Ofwat separately reported that 2025/26 bills rose by an average of 26% or £123.
Figures are industry averages, not a meter-based bill or a price cap on your household. Metered charges, occupancy, rateable-value unmetered tariffs, social tariffs and water-only plus wastewater splits will differ. Check your company’s charges scheme and contact them or CCW if you cannot pay.
